SPONSOR INFORMATION Sustainable Forestry Tour For Teachers & Counselors
Forest tours are one of the best ways to show teachers and counselors the dynamics of the forest products industry and help them educate their students about forest resources. Help immerse them in the social, economic and ecological aspects of sustainable forestry by being a sponsor. Past sponsors affirm the value of investing in this quality educational experience! Participant sponsorships are $300 plus individual travel costs. Meal and other sponsorships are also available. Your sponsorship goes even further this year, with a longer tour and even more classroom activities to expand the tour's reach to students.
Here's how it works:
We will match participant sponsors with qualified teachers and counselors who have applied to attend. If you prefer, you may recruit a participant on your own. Participant criteria: Teachers and school counselors of 3rd through 12th grades, with special consideration given to teachers of science, natural resources, vocational or agriculture education; career counselors, and those from population centers. To sign up, you may contact the Idaho Forest Products Commission office at 208-334-3292 or submit the sponsor form on back or at www.idahoforests.org/tour.htm.
