Plains surrounded by trees now. We drove from Cottonwood, crossed Salmon River, drove up Rice Creek Grade, turned off onto Center Canyon Road which leads up to Doumecq. Doumecq is a high prairie farming and cattle area. You can get to Doumecq from either White Bird or Cottonwood. My great-grandpa, Slim Johnson farmed and ranched on Doumecq many years ago. |
