What Is A Tree Talker?
Tree Talkers are forest professionals who represent the Idaho Forest Products Commission and Project Learning Tree by leading classroom presentations and other educational outreach based on PLT lessons. They promote environmental education and forest literacy among students and educators. Becoming a Tree Talker comes with several benefits, including:

Workshop Outcomes

  1. Confident and Engaged Educators – Participants will gain hands-on experience with Project Learning Tree’s (PLT) curriculum and learn best practices for engaging K-12 students in forest education. They will leave with the knowledge and tools to lead impactful outreach presentations. Workshop is eligible for CFE and Idaho Pro-Logger credits.
  2. Strengthened Professional Networks – Participants will connect with a diverse network of professionals, fostering collaboration and continued learning within the Tree Talker community.
  3. Empowered Ambassadors for Forest Literacy – By completing the workshop, participants will be equipped to inspire the next generation with meaningful lessons about trees, forests, and sustainability, helping to shape future green leaders.
