WHEN: August 2-3, 2022. 8:30 am – 3 pm each day + short homework

WHERE: Hawthorne Elementary School, Boise ID

WHAT: Get ready to take learning outdoors for the new school year at this engaging 1-credit workshop using the power of observation and inquiry skills. Envision your schoolyard as a multidisciplinary classroom where students explore core science concepts and skills while cultivating curiosity for the natural world.  Award-winning elementary teachers Misha Smith and Susan Wolfe will share ways to help students develop the mindset of an explorer, become astute observers, ask great questions, communicate effectively and creatively, grapple with real-world problems, and be engaged citizens of their school and community. Participants will receive the new Project Learning Tree Explore Your Environment K-8 Activity Guide, with ready to use lessons and an abundance of resources to support your instructional settings and curricular goals.

CREDIT: One (1) optional professional development credit (for recertification) is available from choice of Northwest Nazarene University or Boise State University, $60 payable to the university.
