WHAT:  A hybrid (in-person + virtual) training for 6th-12th grade teachers and counselors over a range of dates. In addition to two in-person days, there will be pre and post Zoom session and coursework.

-June 30 – Meet and leave vehicles at Cedar Mountain B & B, 25249 N Hatch Rd, Athol
-July 1 – Meet and leave vehicles at USFS Coeur d’Alene Nursery. 3600 W Nursery Rd, Coeur d’Alene
A shuttle may be arranged for those needing transport to the initial meeting sites.

WHEN:

• Intro 1-hour Zoom session: June 15, 2021. 6-7 pm (Pacific time zone)
  
• Other virtual coursework completed on your own between June 15 and July 8.

• In person: June 30-July 1, 2021 (details on locations and times to follow). 8:30 am – 4:30 pm
  
• Wrap-up 1-hour Zoom session: July 8, 2021. 6-7 pm (Pacific time zone)
  

WHO: Local school counselors and teachers of 6th -12th grades, especially if you engage youth through career education, agriculture/natural resources, CTE, sciences, social studies, language arts, math, technology, engineering, mechanics and/or STEM. Participants should be currently active in their career, with the expectation of working with school students in the upcoming school year.

CREDIT: 2 optional credits are available through Boise State University and Northwest Nazarene University

COST:  The Mini-SFT is FREE thanks to generous sponsors!! Your $50 deposit will be refunded to you when you complete the course. Travel reimbursement of up to $100 is available. Tour participation is limited to the target audiences. Space on each tour is limited. A waiting list will be maintained.
