WHEN & CREDIT INFORMATION
1-credit Virtual option: Now-June 8, 2021. Zoom sessions on May 18 (recorded) and June 8 at 7 pm (MTN). The rest of the course is asynchronous and largely self-guided. $30 workshop fee. Optional credit available from choice of BSU or NNU. $60.
2-credit Hybrid option: Now-June 30, 2021, with in-person field experiences on June 15-16, and zoom sessions on May 18 (recorded) and June 8 at 7 pm (MTN). Field experience location, in or near Boise, to be determined. $50 workshop fee. Optional credits available from choice of BSU or NNU, $60/credit = $120.

WHAT: Build your understanding of key concepts, content and connections among wildfires, water and climate. Increase your climate literacy to better understand and communicate about these topics. Discover how and why earth’s climate is changing, how it impacts our global and local natural resources, and what community solutions are possible to mitigate climate change. Virtual course will focus on content. Field experiences will build on that knowledge and focus on teaching these topics to 4th-12th grade students and adults. Receive training and award-winning materials from Project Learning Tree, Project WET and Boise State University.
