A course website contains course instructions and links.\n \nWHAT: In this self-guided 1-credit training\, you will select a specific PLT curriculum as your focus and complete an online training on that material. In addition\, you will conduct PLT activities\, explore abundant supporting resources\, and reflect and plan how you’ll use PLT in your individual situation.\n \nHOW IT WORKS: After you sign up\, Idaho PLT will send you an email with course instructions. This will usually occur on the same day that you sign up. DESCRIPTION:WHEN: April 28\, 2026 | 8:30 am – 3:30pm \nLOCATION: Boise\, Idaho – more details to come soon! \nWhat Is A Tree Talker?\nTree Talkers are forest professionals who represent the Idaho Forest Products Commission and Project Learning Tree by leading classroom presentations and other educational outreach based on PLT lessons. They promote environmental education and forest literacy among students and educators. Becoming a Tree Talker comes with several benefits\, including: \nWorkshop Outcomes\n\nConfident and Engaged Educators – Participants will gain hands-on experience with Project Learning Tree’s (PLT) curriculum and learn best practices for engaging K-12 students in forest education. They will leave with the knowledge and tools to lead impactful outreach presentations. Workshop is eligible for CFE and Idaho Pro-Logger credits.\nStrengthened Professional Networks – Participants will connect with a diverse network of professionals\, fostering collaboration and continued learning within the Tree Talker community.\nEmpowered Ambassadors for Forest Literacy – By completing the workshop\, participants will be equipped to inspire the next generation with meaningful lessons about trees\, forests\, and sustainability\, helping to shape future green leaders.\n\nCOST: $45
