A Miracle at Work

The 2019 Opinion Leaders Forest Tour

Two dozen leaders from across the state converged in north Idaho September 12-13, for the Idaho Forest Products Commission’s annual Opinion Leader Tour called the “Miracle at Work Forest Tour”.  With 23 stops in two days, the tour offers a crash course on Idaho’s thriving forest products industry.  Nearly 40 professionals, representing different aspects of the industry, provided insights on the challenges and opportunities in the forest sector.

Forest science and health; growing, planting and harvesting trees; firefighting; land ownership; state and federal agency responsibilities; forest certification; and the economic impacts of the industry were among the issues presented.
